Rock Bottom Restaurant Arlington, VA 10,000 ft microbrewery with 418 seats located inside Ballston Common Mall, Arlington, VA. Construction required specific detailed coordination of fire rated metal-bestos mechanical shaft, which penetrated Movie Theater above Rock Bottom space and ultimately terminated at roof, 5 stories above restaurant. High-end finishes included 2-mahogany and oak bars and paneled kneewall. Interior mall entrance with exposed cedar, porcelain tiles and Colorado sandstone accentuated interior finishes. Construction schedule was integrated with Movie Theater Projection Room fitout to avoid opening delays. Interface of full service brewery with extensive millwork & finishes located inside a mall posed several challenging scenarios. click on image to enlarge
